Operated and maintained a production multi-service SaaS platform using Railway, Firebase, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Linux.
Implemented health checks, Sentry monitoring, structured logging, and request correlation to improve observability and accelerate cross-service incident troubleshooting.
Managed self-hosted CI runners, guarded deployments, security scans, database migrations, and post-deployment smoke tests to support reliable software releases.
Created recovery runbooks for service outages, database restore and failover procedures, deployment rollbacks, and external integration failures.
Troubleshot production issues across application, infrastructure, and database layers while maintaining platform reliability and service availability.

Why I Built Praven

Praven began as an idea while I was working at Drake Plastics in July 2025. As I became more involved in day-to-day manufacturing operations, I started noticing recurring pain points in the quality management process. Many tasks relied on manual workflows, disconnected systems, and repetitive processes that made it difficult to efficiently track quality data, manage documentation, and maintain visibility across production.

Rather than simply accepting those challenges, I decided to build a solution myself.

PravenQMS was created as a modern Quality Management System (QMS) designed specifically with manufacturing operations in mind. What started as a personal learning project quickly evolved into a long-term software platform that I continue to develop and improve today.

The Development Journey

Praven has become much more than a software project—it’s been my personal platform for learning modern software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.

Throughout development I’ve gained practical experience in:

  • Designing scalable software architectures
  • Building modern React and TypeScript applications
  • Developing REST APIs and backend services
  • Working with PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Deploying containerized services with Docker
  • Operating Linux servers in cloud environments
  • Monitoring production services using health checks, structured logging, and Sentry
  • Managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Writing operational runbooks for disaster recovery, deployment rollback, and incident response

Security & Reliability

One of my primary goals throughout development has been learning how to build software that is not only functional but secure and reliable.

Working on Praven has introduced me to concepts such as:

  • Authentication and authorization
  • Encryption and secure data handling
  • Static and dynamic application security testing
  • Secure software development practices
  • Production monitoring and observability
  • Infrastructure reliability
  • Database backup and recovery strategies
  • Deployment validation and rollback procedures

These experiences have fundamentally changed how I think about software engineering. Rather than simply asking, “Does the feature work?”, I now also ask:

  • Is it secure?
  • Is it observable?
  • Can it recover from failure?
  • Can it be deployed safely?
  • Can someone else maintain it?

Understanding Manufacturing

Because Praven originated from real manufacturing challenges, the project has also deepened my understanding of manufacturing operations.

Working closely with production processes has allowed me to better understand:

  • Quality management workflows
  • Process documentation
  • Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Production traceability
  • Inspection workflows
  • Continuous improvement initiatives

That operational knowledge has directly influenced many of the design decisions behind Praven.

Looking Ahead

Praven continues to evolve as I learn new technologies and best practices.

As I continue my education and pursue a career in Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, and DevOps, I plan to expand the platform by incorporating infrastructure automation, cloud-native architectures, monitoring, security, and enterprise deployment strategies.

More than anything, Praven represents my belief that the best way to learn is by building solutions to real problems. Every new feature, deployment, and challenge has helped me grow not only as a developer, but also as an engineer focused on creating reliable, maintainable, and secure software.
